Although
laid out on the side of a mountain, the course can be walked,
although a buggy is advisable in mid-summer to get a bit of
air. La Sella is not too long, but if all your clubs are in
good working order, a good score should not be beyond you.
The design and maintenance of a great golf course is as important
to the club, as it is to all its guests, allowing maximum
enjoyment of the sport. The modern and friendly social club,
which has a restaurant and cafeteria, has everything necessary
to make each visit something special.
The pine, orange, olive and almond trees bring a touch of
colour and relief, and sometimes a number of problems for
wayward hitters. A very personal design, La Sella shows how
much the architects knew about players of all ability, as
difficulties are geared to the different tees. Not surprisingly,
the course was laid out by Juan de la Cuadra, expertly assisted
by José María Olazabal.
If you miss the greens, it could be tough to make pars.
