Surrounded
by ancient pine trees, Golf Playa de Pals was built in 1966
and is the oldest golf course on the Costa Brava. The first
holes are not excessively long but, because they are surrounded
by pine trees and strategically placed bunkers, you will have
to play with accuracy.
Located
in a quiet setting and close to the sea, Playa de Pals is
considered to be one of the most prestigious courses in Spain
The Course has held numerous national and European events
including the Spanish Open, Catalan Open, Spanish amateur
and other professional championships. The course is set in
a forest of umbrella pines that runs very close to Pals beach.
Narrow tree-lined fairways and doglegs are the features of
this superb and testing course. Pals is one of the few courses
in Spain with a par 73, due to the fact that it has 3 par
5's on the back nine. Without doubt Pals is one of the best
golf courses in Spain.
Pals
is a flat course so it's easy-walking. Although it's a championship
course it is a course we recommend
it for all levels of abilities, as the hazards tend to be
just pine trees, with no rough and little water. We feel it's
particularity suited for lady golfers.
